A Warm Act Fast Welcome
Ali
Inclusion , Welfare and Learner Engagement Coordinator
I am really excited to be joining Act Fast and keen to be part of the ongoing success that this school worked hard to achieve.
My background in Education spans 21 years in a mainstream setting . I have supported some of the most vulnerable young people and their families. In 2019 I was the proud recipient of the Green Apple Education Award as an 'Unsung hero'. I am now ready for new challenges and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure every learner receives the support they need to achieve their full potential.

Kathy
Inclusion & Family Liaison
Deputy Safeguarding Lead
Hi my name is Kathy.
I started working in education in the EYFS Early Years, but then progressed to working with children from 2-18 with my roles within the Local Authority.
I have worked in the Complex Behaviour Team, and then Education Inclusion, supporting young people and their families in their education journey. I also worked with the Young Carer’s Team on a 9-month secondment.
In my spare time I walk my energetic dog Kippa who likes to share my cups of tea and be known as Mr Kips, and I enjoy horse riding lessons -my current target is to stay on the horse for the entirety of the lesson.!!
I also became a Grandma in June last year!
I am looking forward to working with and being part of the Act Fast team and getting to know both the staff and pupils.
Sue
Inclusion Administrator
"Hi, my name is Sue. I have worked in administration for many years in different sectors. I also have a lot of experience working in the care sector, having worked with a variety of clients, all with very different needs over the years. I spent 7 years at a SEN school, working as a Teaching Assistant and then later as an Educational Health Care Assistant, providing educational and medical support to the more complex students.
Following my time working at school, I went to work at a friend's Construction company and was the Director's PA and looked after the accounts and admin. Working with children is where my heart lies, so when I was made redundant, I was lucky enough to come to work at Act Fast. I am happy here; the students and staff have been very welcoming. I am looking forward to the future here and to being a part of the school's exciting journey!
Jon
Head of Maths
"Hi, my name is Jon, or JC to most people, and I’ve spent the last 27 years in education, initially as a teacher of maths and PE, moving on to become Head of Maths, Assistant Head and Deputy Head in a variety of schools across the region before working as a part of the core team for a large Multi Academy Trust.
Away from work I’m passionate about rugby and motorsport. Whilst age and injuries now prevent me from playing rugby, I still manage to squeeze into my Caterham 7 race car at circuits around the UK throughout the Summer.
I’m looking forward to contributing to the success of students here at Act Fast! "
